A Fresh Start at Journaling

To start off the year and the first experiment I have begun journaling again. I will be doing "Some lines a day" and a monthly mood tracker.

"Some lines a day" or also known as "One line a day" is keeping a five year journal. The same day of each year is on one page - so you have 5 journaling slots per page and 365 pages. You only note down a few quick lines. Or I might also do some of the 365 questions for journaling. We shall see.

The idea is that after 5 years you  have a journal you can also read "vertically" - giving you a slice of your life over that time span. I thought it's a neat idea and have gotten mine just in time for the new year. Wish me luck in keeping it up!

If you want to join in... I got mine from the German company Leuchtturm1917 - it was a great excuse to finally get one of their real classy journals. I've had them on my radar for a while, but never a good enough reason to buy another notebook yet. You can check out their portfolio HERE.

Another thing that I will be doing is using a tracker.

Super decorative bullet journaling always seemed a bit much for my liking, but the mood trackers I found intriguing. Having a way to see patterns and visualize how good or bad your month is really going. I think hat might be helpful.

So embarking on my year of experimentation, I have drawn myself a monthly tracker for January. I'm using alcohol based markers to color it in.

And I'm sharing my print file with you, in case you'd also like to try it. It's a jpeg file wih white background in Din A5 format.
